What we have been doing.

Our new reading unit is Greek Myths and Legends. We started this after viewing the DVD of Percy Jackson.
As part of an activity using the Hamburger Model for Speech Writing, we investigated Medusa. Look out for the photographs of our finished masks later in the week. Below are some of the summaries we have written about Medusa after researching.
Medusa was originally a beautiful young woman whose crowning glory was her magnificent long hair. She was courted by many suitors.

Athena was outraged at her because she went into her temple. She punished Medusa by turning her beautiful tresses into snakes and giving her destructive powers to turn anyone who looked directly at her into stone.
